The boys have changed into jammies. Keaton is wearing the new Cars jammies that he got for his birthday from the Hoover family. Perfect choice.

Our 1st time at the drive-in. We're going to see Cars 2.

Hungry Boy

Now when Keaton is hungry he climbs into the fridge all by himself and picks out his own snack. I guess I should be thankful that 99% of the time he picks fruit. He is also tall enough to get water and ice out of the door dispenser.

Backyard

Here's a picture of the back yard now that it has been graded. The darker top soil will all be seeded with hydroseed on Wednesday. There is a sprinkler systems to water that area. The lighter soil doesn't have a sprinkler system. We are going to plant a drought tolerant seed in this area.

I'm guessing that Darren is going to want to buy a riding lawnmower. :)

Back Patio

Here's a picture of the new patio. Not sure if you can tell from this picture but it wraps around the house and over to the driveway. We widened the driveway to three cars wide.

Growing Boy!

Beckett is still a little peanut - how many 8 month olds do you know who still wear a size 1 diaper. He may be small but he's growing developmentally.

He's started clapping. It's so funny because he does it close fisted. He crawls a little bit and then sits up and starts to clap with his little Guggenheim smile.

I love his little gummy mouth. Still no teeth but he truly grins from ear to ear. His whole face and eyes light up when he smiles.

He's standing up against anything - crib, closet door, sofa, my body, etc. He will walk a little bit holding on. I think it's just a matter of a few weeks before he starts to walk. I'm guessing sometime around our trip to Vegas.

I'll try to post some more pictures and video soon.

Swinging

I have posted quite a few videos lately. I've heard that some people aren't sure how to play them. If you look at the image you will see a box with an arrow inside under the picture to the left. Just click on the arrow and the video will play. For some reason all of the sudden the phone isn't recording any sound. But these are still fun to watch.

Yesterday afternoon we were playing on the swing and I took a few really cute videos I thought I would share. This is a blog exclusive. These videos aren't posted on Facebook. ;)

This video is of Beckett swinging outdoors for the first time. His laugh is so adorable. He's such a little Guggenheim.

I wanted you to see just how high he gets. Darren said his feet actually touched the ceiling of the patio once. He just yells -- higher, higher! He has no fear.

This was super cute... Keaton kept saying it was Beckett's turn. Then he wanted to push him.

Sleeping thru the parade. Even the fire and police sirens aren't waking him up. At least he's staying dry. It started to rain just as the parade started to come down the street.

Bit and Spur Rodeo

Tonight we went to the Bit and Spur Rodeo. It's the first time we've ever been to a rodeo. We missed the Mutton Busting but saw bull riding, roping and most of the other events. We had to leave at 10 because Keaton was over tired and wouldn't sit still. He didn't take a good nap today so he was slightly miserable as the night went on.

Here's a video of a bull rider. I think this was Keaton's favorite part.

This video cracks me up because for some reason the sound wasn't recorded. So it just looks like Keaton in a home movie from the 60's. Needless to say I started recording just as a bull rider left the pen. Not sure if you will have sound but if not enjoy a nostalgic type home movie.
