Catching Up...

It has been quite a while since we have posted. This is a super long posting. There has been so much that has happened.
Road Trip Part A
We previously blogged about the road trip from Salt Lake City to Niagara Falls but we didn't post any pictures.

Oma has wanted to see Mount Rushmore for years. Driving cross country was the perfect opportunity.

Here are some pictures from the infamous Wall Drugs. Seriously if you ever have the opportunity to travel through South Dakota we recommend a visit.

We Are Family
We took a lot of pictures of Keaton with all of our family and friends in Western New York. Here are a bunch...

The Many Face of Keaton

First time swimming in a pool - not a happy camper

Keaton's Baptism
Keaton's baptism was on August 27 at Concordia Lutheran Church. This is the same church that Darren and I were married at. Uncle Deke and Aunt Stacy are Keaton's godparents.

Unfortunately breakfast and church are at the same time. Just as Pastor Jagow asked us to come to the front of the church Keaton started to cry. Perhaps I should say scream. Pastor tried the binky first but found that the only thing that would make Keaton happy would be some milk. So Pastor Jagow fed Keaton as he was presented to the church.

A Day at the Zoo
During one of Oma's Monday visits we decided to go to the zoo. It was Keaton's first trip to the zoo.

Road Trip Part B
We had a great visit with our family and friends. On August 10 we left for home. We decided to turn the drive home into our family vacation. Many of you may know that Darren and I have a goal to get to every National Park together. Now Keaton will be traveling with us - he even has his very own park passport!

Here we are in Badlands National Park in South Dakota

One of the places that Darren has always wanted to visit is Devil's Tower. It was pretty amazing.

We spent quite a few days in Glacier National Park. It is hard to believe that by 2020 there won't be any more glacier's in the park. Too bad Keaton won't really remember the trip.

Yellowstone is our favorite park. This is the first time that we have gone to a park and there wasn't a park sign. I was pretty disappointed as it is a tradition. Here are some pictures from Yellowstone.

We waited in the car for a few hours in hopes that a Grizzly Bear would come to eat a dead bison.
The waiting paid off. This grizzly showed up just before dusk. It is in the center of the river.
We drove through Grand Teton National Park too.

Keaton's 2 Month Checkup
Keaton had his 2 month checkup when we got home. He has grown so much. He now weighs 13 pounds 2 ounces and is 24 inches long. He needed to have some shots. He and I both cried!

I promise to be better about updating the blog. My goal will be weekly.
